Tuesday 30 April

Papier Maché fish and hearts workshop with Zenzi Grace.

9.00am - 3.00pm at Lawrence Public School.
This workshop is open to parents and families of public and pre-school school students. Come along to assist with the kids’ creations and make one yourself.

At this workshop we will be making papier maché fish and hearts out of balloons and cardboard. Glueing paper over the balloons to form a hard casing. For fun we can add big fish lips and colourful paint to give it a festival vibe.

Each papier maché fish or heart will be included in the festival decor. (We need helpers to assist with decorating the festival site, in front of Lawrence Hall, on Friday 24th May - please register as a volunteer below.)

Wednesday 24 April

Pop Art Self-Portraits with Pamela Denise.

10.00am to 1.00pm at the Lawrence Hall.

Upon your arrival, leading artist Pamela Denise will take and print out an A4 black and white head shot. Using tracing paper, you’ll plot the shapes of your face and then transfer them to heavy artist quality paper. Deciding on the colour scheme can be intuitive or apply classic colour theory.  Some principles will be explained.

Study the face you know so well and use colour to tell the story. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Rewarding for beginners and plenty of scope for the experienced artist. If you have coloured pencils or aquarelles (watercolour pencils), please bring them for your personal use. All papers supplied.
